A Roadmap to Industrialized Construction

Industrialized construction – aka offsite, factory-built, etc. – has to date puttered along as a bit player in the construction of single-family homes — representing roughly 3% of new-home production in 2020. The problem is that few people know where or how to start making the switch. Even worse, some see it as simply a production solution rather than a different way of doing business — with impacts + potential benefits across the organization. We've been tackling that challenge for the last two years through working group discussions; builder, developer and expert interviews; case studies; and development of a roadmap and other tools. This event coincides with the launch of a feature article in Professional Builder — highlighting key insights we've gathered from others in our network and the initial conclusions we've come to. Up next we're hosting a working group discussion, November 2021, and have more planned for 2022 to help move the road map forward. Contact us to get involved.
