This course was made possible by a National Association of REALTORS Sustainability Grant and is a joint program of RAMP, The Green Building Alliance (GBA), AIA Pittsburgh and the Housing Innovation Alliance.
Join us on October 6th for panel discussions, presentations, and a modular factory tour at Structural Modular Innovations (SMI).
Credits are available for this event that includes a tour of a modular building factory (SMI) where high-performance homes & light commercial buildings are fabricated for delivery + set within the regional market. SMI has partnered with a nationwide team to produce a net-zero concept home. The concept home is a result of the 2022 America at Home Study, where significant covid-era data collection led to the design development of a home that meets the market demands of today’s buyers, including energy-efficiency, health & wellness. The concept home aims to demonstrate a higher level of livability, constructability, and sustainability than seen in other new construction homes with three big goals in mind: reducing carbon emissions by 70%, generating 90% less waste, and delivering a healthier living environment.
Engage with members of the concept home team and others to:
- Understand the why, process, and insights from the America at Home Study
- See how modern methods of construction unlock new value with volumetric modular, are more environmentally friendly + lead to more resilient structures
- Learn what the DOE Zero Energy Ready home standard means for consumers + builders
- And more…
