Round Table Recap: Baltimore

Despite the cold and snow, we had a wonderful time in Baltimore! We enjoyed catching up with familiar faces and meeting many new friends of the Alliance at the beautiful Sagamore Pendry Hotel.

With the help of our presenters, we dug into the cost-benefit analysis of off-site versus on-site construction and different financial models that can fuel the transition. We also had the chance to tour Blueprint Robotics and learn how they deliver one of the most comprehensive integrated panelization solutions on the market. At their fully automated factory, Blueprint leverages BIM, robotics and other advanced machinery to build customized, closed wall systems, roofs and floors to a builder’s specifications—incorporating features like windows, doors, mechanical rough-ins, insulation, exterior sheathing and drywall at the desired level of energy performance.

Many thanks to Jerry Smalley of Blueprint Robotics and to our presenters for their hospitality, expertise and valuable insights!
